About Shell Shock
Shell Shock is composed of mostly University of Maryland Alumni basketball players competing in "The Basketball Tournament" also known as TBT on the ESPN family of networks in July.
We are a proud institution with a rich basketball history and as the game of basketball evolves it is our intention to continue to inspire Maryland basketball fans through our play! Support us in our inaugural run for the $1,000,000 cash prize as we travel to Louisville July 25th to play in the 64 team single elimination tournament. Tickets can be purchased through TicketMaster and all games will be available to be seen live on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPN+!
About The Basketball Tournament (TBT)
The Tournament
TBT is a 64-team, single-elimination tournament for a million dollars. Application is open to all.
When
Our 2022 event took place in July & August, airing on ESPN. TBT 2023 will be our 10th anniversary tournament and will be played in eight different cities around the country this upcoming summer.
